Clawd Concierge is a small, independent trip-planning site about one corner of the world: Blue Ridge, Georgia and the mountain towns around it, including Ellijay, McCaysville, Mineral Bluff, Morganton, Cherry Log and Lake Blue Ridge.
We'd like it to feel like the general store at the edge of town: the place you stop on the way in for directions and a friendly "here's what you'll want to know," before heading up the gravel road to your cabin.
Our research
We're a couple who love the North Georgia mountains, and we've spent a lot of time digging into Blue Ridge cabins and the area around them: comparing neighborhoods, reading listing fine print, mapping drive times, checking operators' own websites and calling out what changes with the seasons. This site is where we put that research so other couples and families can plan with less guesswork.
Then there's Charlotte, our corgi: fearless, somewhat lazy and, let's say, festively plump. She comes on our trips, so we pay close attention to the pet policies, fenced yards and dog rules in cabin listings. You'll find her notes on the Our Cabins page.
We aren't professional travel writers, guides or real-estate agents, and we don't pretend to be. When a page is built from research rather than a personal visit, it reads that way. When we've actually stayed somewhere, you'll find it on our Cabins We've Stayed In shelf, with the dates we stayed and our own notes and photos as we add them.
How we research
- Official sources first. Operator websites, the U.S. Forest Service, TVA and the Fannin County Chamber of Commerce. We link to them so you can double-check.
- No invented details. No made-up prices, hours, ratings or reviews. When something changes often (hours, fees, seasonal schedules, road conditions), we say so and tell you where to confirm it.
- Honest photos. We use our own photos or openly licensed ones, credited, and we don't label a generic mountain photo as a specific place.
- Kept fresh. Each guide shows when it was last reviewed. Spot something out of date? Please tell us.
